In Malawi, a transformative project addressed several of the UN SDGs and promote education, empowerment, and gender equality. The initiative aimed to combat the prevalent issue of child marriage, which is highly prevalent in Malawi.
Soroptimist International’s partnership with ‘Restore a Sense of I Can’ (RSC) project is an empowering initiative designed to close the gender digital divide by providing essential digital skills to women and girls living in the Caribbean.
In partnership with Soroptimist International Foundation, World Vision is implementing a dynamic project in Georgia aimed at empowering women and girls through digital skills, online safety, wellbeing support and German language training.
The Rose Academies project, supported by Soroptimist International Foundation, is empowering rural, out of school girls through practical, skills-based training in Uganda, delivering education in baking, tailoring and digital skills.

Many older women are valuable contributors to their families, their communities, and to the national economy, however, others find themselves in a position of vulnerability. SI calls to denounce the tendency for older women to be 'invisible', not just from policies and programmes, but from society as a whole.
Women and girls are forced to migrate for the same reasons that men and boys do – poverty, economic inequalities, oppression, conflict, war, disasters and the impact of climate change. However, women and girls face additional factors compelling them to leave their homes, and they face additional challenges along migration routes.
SI and the Road to Equality understands Child, early and forced marriage (CEFM) as a human rights violation that disproportionately affects women and girls globally, preventing many from living their lives free from all forms of violence.
As we journey on the Road to Equality, SI works globally to End Human Trafficking, recognising it as a heinous violation of fundamental human rights.
Education sits at the very heart of the SI Mission. Here, Soroptimists work with My Book Buddy, to enable children and their parents to access books, and learn to read.

Birthing in the Pacific Project (BIP) was selected as the International President's Appeal for 2013-2015. A Soroptimist International South West Pacific Federation Project, BIP was set up as a response to UN Millennium Development Goal No 5 and the high maternal mortality ratio in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
