In partnership with Soroptimist International Foundation, World Vision is implementing a dynamic project in Georgia aimed at empowering women and girls through digital skills, online safety, wellbeing support and German language training. This collaborative initiative is part of a broader mission to remove barriers to socio-economic inclusion in communities where women face systemic challenges such as unemployment, limited access to education and gender-based discrimination.

Through this project, participants are gaining essential digital literacy—ranging from basic computer use to more advanced competencies like digital communication and online collaboration. These skills not only enhance employability but also equip women and girls to engage more actively in their communities and local economies. Importantly, the project also prioritises online safety, educating participants on how to recognise and protect themselves from cyber threats such as online harassment, phishing, and identity theft—ensuring their digital empowerment is paired with resilience.

Another key component is the training on safety and wellbeing. Many participants face psychological and social vulnerabilities, and the project includes sessions on emotional resilience, self-care, and community support. These sessions create safe spaces for women and girls to share experiences and build confidence, strengthening both individual and collective wellbeing.
Additionally, the inclusion of German language courses reflects the increasing opportunities for employment and education linked to European integration and mobility. These language skills expand access to vocational training, scholarships, and international job markets, further increasing participants’ prospects for independence and growth.

By combining practical training with emotional support and language development, this project provides a holistic approach to empowerment. The partnership between World Vision and Soroptimist International Foundation demonstrates the power of collaboration to drive gender equality and long-term change. Together, they are helping build stronger, safer futures for women and girls in Georgia—one skill, one voice and one opportunity at a time.
