HLPF
UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development
The United Nations (UN) High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development is the UN’s main platform for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The HLPF meets annually under the auspices of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and every four years at the level of Heads of State and Government under the General Assembly.
The HLPF provides political leadership, guidance, and recommendations on implementing the SDGs. It reviews progress, identifies challenges, and encourages peer learning through Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) presented by Member States.
Civil society, including non-governmental organisations like Soroptimist International can participate and contribute to discussions through side events, interventions, and submissions of statements and reports.

Soroptimist International’s HLPF Report
Each year Soroptimist International prepares a report for submission to the HLPF. This report responds to the SDGs that are under review at the HLPF.
Why do we submit this report?
The HLPF report is an opportunity to showcase Soroptimist International projects from around the world to demonstrate their impact in advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We look at how projects run by Soroptimist International Federations, Unions, Regions, Clubs and Soroptimist International Foundation are addressing critical issues to advance the SDGs.
