Soroptimists attend the UN Civil Society Convention

The 68th UN Civil Society Conference took place in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA on 26-28 August 2019. The focus of the Conference was Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11, 'to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable by 2030', and explored the interlinkages between the 17 SDGs, including critical issues relating to gender.

SI Board reaches unanimous decision on the charter of the Africa Federation

At the Soroptimist International (SI) Board meeting on 17 July 2019, preceding the 21st SI International Convention, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the SI Board made the unanimous decision to approve of the SI Africa Federation Charter application submitted to Soroptimist International for a fifth SI Federation subject to the two thousand membership criteria being met and subject to an affirmative vote of two-thirds of the clubs in Africa ( Resolution 23).
