In our webinar ‘Learn the Outcomes of CSW68 to Advocate Nationally’ we reflected on how what happens at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, or ‘CSW,’ each year in March is just one part of the ongoing advocacy that needs to happen all year round.
Our webinar addressed some of the outcomes – the Agreed Conclusions- and how women and girls are impacted. We focused in particular on climate justice, universal healthcare and education.
Our speakers outlined why it is so important that Soroptimists take action to ensure that change happens, highlighting a few concrete actions Soroptimists can take to ensure that the outcomes are acted upon and implemented in their countries, at club level, union level and as individuals.
In particular, we discussed lobbying governments at local and national levels to get the Agreed Conclusions known and implemented.
